INDIAN COLLEGE OF ANAESTHESIOLOGISTS (ICA)

Indian College of Anaesthesiologists (ICA) is an academic formation of the qualified Anaesthesiologists of India. Established in 2008, as an academic trust and controlled through a trust, working committee as well as governing body. The college is a subsidiary of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologiists (ISA). ICA stands for quality oriented uniform teaching and training of Anaesthesiology in India and delivery of quality proven uniform anaesthesia services at affordable cost equally all over India. There are no commercial strings attached to the formation and is purely academic as well as not for profit organization in functioning. Core functionaries are Patron, Chief Trustee/Advisor, President of College and Chief Executive officers supported with a core committee.

The college conducts teaching and training/ accredit hospital services/releases academic publications such as Year Book of Anaesthesia/regular bulletins/run accredited short term courses in different areas of anaesthesiology/ skill development of Health Care workers (OT technician, Anaesthesia Technician). The college issues guidelines of practice for adoption by all practicing anaesthesiologists in India.

College conducts a midyear convocation conference and annual National Conference apart from academic assemblies and training programmes.

Any teaching programme conducted by ICA, through its committee will be informed to all designations/members of the college. Likewise any academic programme/ or other programme conducted outside NCR, through ICA will invite local ICA members/local ISA units.
