With pleasure and anticipation we invite you to the 6th MIDCON and 7th convocation of Indian College of Anaesthesiologists (ICA) scheduled for 2nd and 3rd July 2016 to be held in centrally located India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The conference aims at bringing a lively discourse to the delegates attending it on the conference theme "Age of subspecialty Anaesthesia".

Broadly in one form or the other we can find anaesthesiologists working specifically in:

• Orthopedics Anaesthesia
• Liver & GI Anaesthesia
• Anaesthesia for Onco Surgery
• Obstetrics Anaesthesia and Analgesia
• Pediatrics / Neonatology Anaesthesia
• Trauma
• Pain
• Anaesthesia for Robotics Surgery
• Anaesthesia at remote location

Anaesthesia has now existed officially since 16th October 1846 nearly 170 years. The revolution wrought into the surgical science by Ether Chloroform or Nitrous oxide being discovered has now marched way beyond then imagined.

With advent of ongoing technological advancement, the science of anaesthesia has evolved on many fronts keeping the patients disease process in “focus”.

Various educational organizations now offer curriculum and fellowship in the different arms of anaesthesia thereby focusing on the sub specialties of surgery that they cater to. Furthering this concept the conference will deliberate on the need of various sub specialty anaesthesia aspects to enhance patient care.

We also invite participation for poster presentation in this conference. Best posters will be invited for podium paper presentation.

The conference will be preceded by two workshops on Ultrasound and Airways on 2nd July 2016 morning.

The convocation will have the fellowships of ICA cordially awarded to the eminent and worthy members of the fraternity.
