Excursion to monument of Love “Taj Mahal” (Same day)*
Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal, a monument of love and imagination that represents India to the world. It is a town that lives mainly in the past. Once the seat of the Mughal rulers. The origin of the name the "Taj Mahal" is not clear. Court histories from Shah Jehan's reign call it the rauza (tomb) of Mumtaz Mahal. It is generally believed that "Taj Mahal" (usually translated as either "Crown Palace" or "Crown of the Palace") is an abbreviated version of her name, Mumtaz Mahal (Exalted One of the Palace).. Their passion for building endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world - the Taj Mahal a poem in white marble which took 22 years to build by 20,000 skilled artisans who inlaid the white marble edifice with precious and semi precious stones. This monument is the culmination point of Indo-Persian architecture.
